In this 1995 suspense movie, directed by Martini Scorsese and based on the novel written by Nicholas Pileggi, Robert De Niro plays the part of junior mafia boss Sam Rothstein. Sharon Stone plays the part of Ginger, his wife and Joe Pesci plays the part of Nicky Santor, who is a hired thug. Rothstein runs the Tangiers casino in Las Vegas and is very good at bringing the customers in and making the house win. However, over the year, he loses his touch and shady characters and corrupt politicians put his life in danger. This casino related movie is a one of the great suspense movies of all time.

Casino Royale

This 2006 edition of the James Bond franchise is another of the great suspense movies. Daniel Craig plays Agent 007 James Bond and heads to the island of Madagascar on orders from Her Majesty’s government to try and topple a terrorist organisation headed by Le Chiffre.

Bond finds out that Le Chiffre plans to raise the funds for his terror plans through a poker tournament at the Casino Royale and this is where Bond steps in to win the tournament and destroy the terror plot.

Ocean’s Eleven

This 2001 movie directed by Steven Soderbergh has a star studded cast which includes George Clooney, Matt Damon, Andy GarcĂ­a, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts. It is a reboot of a 1960 film. The plot is simple yet takes many twist. A bunch of former high end criminals decide to carry out simultaneous robberies at a number of casinos. The robbers have to go in under cover and outsmart security. It’s a comic take, but it still ranks up there with other suspense movies.
